Training Schedule
Monday: 8:30am-4:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am-4:00pm
Wednesday 9:00am-4:00pm
Thursday: 9:00am-4:00pm
Friday: 9:00am-4:00pm
Preparation
The course will involve light to moderate contact and consistent physical activity. That said, we will work within your capabilities and limitations to best achieve your training and learning goals.
Meal breaks
There will be several short meal breaks per day. Water breaks and rest breaks throughout the training sessions will be dependent on individual and group fitness levels and physical exertion.
Video and Photography
Video and photography is not permitted due to the personal security requirements of some participants. There may be exceptions made for short periods of time during certain components of the program with the consent of all course participants and instructors.
Recommended Equipment / Gear list
* Duty Belt & Red Gun
*Comfortable training clothing. BDUs, t-shirts, cargo shorts, are all common.
*Disposable long sleeve t-shirt or BDU Jacket or martial arts jacket (gi) for grip and attachment work.
*Mouth guard & 14-16 OZ Boxing Gloves (no lightweight MMA gloves).
*Ample water bottles, training towels, several spare t-shirts (due to sweat). Fluids not allowed directly on mat.
*Wresting shoes or soft sole shoes that will not damage mats. Please only wear them in training area. Bring an extra pair of shoes to use before and after training.
*Small personal first aid kit containing tissues, band aids and antiseptic lotion to treat minor scratches.
*Sufficient snacks and hydrating fluids to last each day
**NO firearms, ammunition, knives, batons, OC or TASER unless by prior approval of course instructor.
Pre-Course Reading
While not essential, it is highly suggested that Participants read some of the articles, reviews and interviews related to ISR Matrix in order to become familiar with the terminology and training methods. The numerous videos and training footage available on our website and on line via YouTube will also bring some insight into the training experience all participants working with the ISR Matrix go through.
Evaluations & Promotions
Certification for competent training hours will be issued for those who successfully complete their training. Please note that a specific set minimum of competent training hours is required to be eligible for testing as an ISR Matrix Subject Control Instructor. Those with the required experience level and time training will be awarded their Subject Control Instructorship Certification.
Medical Declaration & Training Waiver
Participants will be required to complete a medical declaration/injury form and liability waiver prior to commencement of training.
General Course Outline
Days 1-2 will focus on development of individual skills in regards to Subject Control & Transportation. Day 3 will refine these skills and implement those skills across a range of occupation specific applications. Day 4 will cover modular programs and work /profession specific training. Day 5 will continue the modular sessions and close with reviews and Q&A.
